Application Streaming

Computer application streaming is a form of on-demand software distribution to either a server or a client. Rather than installing all of the applications on each user’s PC, applications are streamed.
An application is Packaged and stored on a streaming server. Packaging or sequencing produces an image of the application in a way that either orders delivery and/or predictively optimizes delivery to the client.
Application streaming is usually combined with application virtualisation. Client-Side Application virtualisation enables applications to be delivered to client devices. Applications thus become an on-demand service that is always available and up to date.
Benefits
- Applications can be offered as an on-demand service
- Reduce costs associated with deployment, maintenance, updates for applications that would have been incurred if installed locally on users’ machines
- There is saving on desktop disk storage space as well as and installation issues.
- No individual client licenses are needed for each streaming application
- Improve system security by giving administrators total control over the applications delivered to desktops
- Eliminate application conflicts and operating system instability resulting from individual desktop application installation
- DATASiSAR provides application streaming implementation services to manage different categories of software licenses that allow you to centrally administer all your licensing.
